Creamy Turmeric Pasta Sauce

Turmeric has been used since as far back as 2000 BC in South Asia and no wonder because it has some amazing health benefits from balancing your mood to helping wounds heal!
Usually I just sprinkle a little turmeric over my morning oats or into a smoothie but I wanted to make it more of the main part of a dish instead of just something extra thrown in.

Which neatly brings us to this gorgeous pasta sauce! I'm so happy with how it turned out!

Creamy Turmeric Pasta Sauce

Creamy Turmeric Pasta Sauce


2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
Salt, Pepper, Basil, Chilli Flakes
1/2 Onion (diced)
1 Tomato (diced)
2 Tbsp Flour
1 Tbsp Turmeric
1 - 1 1/2 Cups Almond Milk (depending on how thick you want the sauce)



 1. Add the Coconut Oil, Salt, Pepper, Basil and Chilli flakes to a pan over low heat.

2.Once almost all the coconut oil has melted, add the Onion and a couple of minutes later, the tomato.

3. Once the onion has browned a little, stir in the thickeners - the Flour and Turmeric.

4. Once all combined, mix in 1 Cup of Almond Milk to start and add more if you want the sauce to be thinner.

5. Give it a taste test and more of the spices if needed.
